Kieran Lindars finishes in an incredible 8th place at Kona 2024!

After Kieran's European Ironman Championships 2nd place in a new British record of 7:32:14, he wasn't quite sure how things would play out when up against a stacked Kona field in hot conditions.

He decided that his strategy was to stay under the radar and play it cool, but coming out of T1 in first place certainly raised a few eyebrows. After some tough moments on the bike due to the constant surges in the lead group, he cleverly stayed on the back of that group, and followed up the bike with an incredible run to give himself 8th place. A huge and career changing performance for him and he gave BornBound a day to remember!

Here's what Kieran had to say on Instagram:

What a crazy day and experience racing in Kona! A Childhood dream come true!

I have an amazing team behind me and I couldn’t have done it without them! I am blessed to have them by my side.

I can’t wait for more to come in 2025 💪
